The Bears fate this season is still yet to be determined, but one thing is certain: We've got a helluva rookie on our hands in running back Matt Forte. All in all, the Bears have nine rookies this season, all of whom will be celebrated at the first-ever Bear Factor event on Friday, Dec. 12 at River West hotspot Rednofive.
Many Bears players -- rookie, veteran and former -- will be on hand at the soiree, presumably including the buzzed-about Forte, as the party also serves as his 23rd birthday bash. Hosted by Exclusive Events, Bear Factor will also feature a football-inspired fashion show (think Swarovski crystal and diamond-studded jerseys) starring various NFL wives and fiancees wearing designs by Lavish Couture by Shannon St. Clair and Wife Material by Chanita Foster. Complimentary hors d'oeuvres and cocktails will be circulated, and a raffle, offering such big-ticket items as a Forte-signed football, a ball signed by all the Bears rookies, a 12-month membership at Xsport Fitness (a party sponsor) and a private party at Rednofive, is sure to be a huge draw.
Bear Factor takes place from 7-11PM, with the fashion show beginning at 9PM. Tickets are $75 or two for $100 in advance; $100 per person at the door. A portion of the proceeds from the evening will benefit Bears Care, the nonprofit charitable organization of the Chicago Bears.
