Gwyneth Paltrow is a creature of habit, something we'd all like to emulate.
While we may find comfort in pizza and cold beer, the superstar indulges in something a little different to make herself feel better; detox diets. In her latest addition of her newsletter GOOP, Paltrow spills the beans on the book that fueled her latest cleanse.
It’s called Cleanse
, a program designed by New York
cardiologist and detoxification specialist Dr. Alejandro Junger
. Paltrow said in her newsletter that the diet was just what she needed. “I followed it to the letter and I can report that it worked wonders,” she said. “I feel pure and happy and much lighter (I dropped the extra pounds that I had gained during a majorly fun and delicious “relax and enjoy life phase” about a month ago).”
tells Paltrow that in his book Clean: A Revolutionary Program to Restore the Body’s Natural Ability to Heal Itself
, there are three important elements to the program; Remove, Restore and Rejuvenate. “When you ‘Remove’ the obstacles to health and you ‘Restore’ the nutrients that are lacking, your body will repair and heal itself of many of the frustrating symptoms that we deal with on a daily basis,” he said. “However, the results of safely and skillfully detoxing go even further. The body “Rejuvenates” itself and you finally discover what it feels like to be healthy.”
And that’s exactly what Paltrow got. But this isn’t the first time the superstar has gone on a detox: she seems to be quite committed. After this past holiday season, she wrote about her experience on another cleanse diet
to remove the winter weight. She has also spoken about her stint on The Master Cleanse Diet
