Police are searching for the driver of a car who struck a six-year-old girl and kept on driving.
The girl had just left Western Avenue School in South Suburbann Flossmoor Thursday afternoon when she was struck while crossing Western at Vardon Lane.
The car, described as a silver, four-door Chrysler with a dark top, disregarded a school crossing guard and hit the girl.
An update on the girl's condition was not made available.
