Reservations Now Needed to Enter ‘It's a Wonderful Life'-Themed Pop-Up Bar

If you want attend the "It's a Wonderful"-themed pop-up bar in Berwyn, you'll need to make a reservation -- and soon.

FitzGerald's Nightclub said its plan to transform the SideBar into "Nicks" went so viral it feared it wouldn't be able to accomodate the number of fans seeking to join in on the fun.

So, the venue said it will now require a reservation for those looking to attend.

Reservations will begin being taken on Nov. 14.

There will be no cover charge and guests will be limited to four places per reservation.

"Because space is limited and we want to include as many people as possible, you may only reserve for one of the Wednesdays," the club wrote on Facebook. "We're really looking forward to this event - hope you can pop in!"

The Roosevelt Room in Berwyn first announced plans to transform Fitzgerald’s SideBar into “Nick’s,” featuring craft cocktails inspired by the cult-classic film, jazz music and even an “old timey register that ‘gives out wings’ when you ring on it," last week.

Cocktails will range from a “flaming rum punch” to “Zu-Zu’s petals” and a group will even sing Auld Lang Syne. After live jazz music is performed at the venue, there will be a showing of “It’s a Wonderful Life” on the bar’s big screen.

“The Nick’s pop is the go to place for those who want to revel in holiday cheer, have a nostalgic experience, enjoy a craft cocktail and listen to top-notch jazz,” the bar’s website reads.

The pop-up bar will open every Wednesday in December.
