The Chicago Bears got some incredible news on the injury front Wednesday, as a slew of key players returned to the practice field ahead of the team’s divisional showdown with the Detroit Lions.
Linebacker Khalil Mack, who has missed the Bears’ last two games as he deals with an ankle injury, was a full participant in Wednesday’s workout at Halas Hall, as was wide receiver Allen Robinson, who has also been out of action with a groin issue.
Both players have missed the team’s wins over the New York Jets and Buffalo Bills, and both are expected to play on Sunday against Detroit.
Tight end Ben Braunecker, who has been in the league’s concussion protocol, offensive lineman Eric Kush, and defensive end Bilal Nichols were also full participants in the workout.
The only Bears player out of the mix during the practice was tight end Dion Sims, who is also in the league’s concussion protocol. Wide receiver Taylor Gabriel was limited, as he continues to work through a nagging knee issue.
After playing four straight games against AFC opponents, the Bears will play their next three games against divisional rivals, including two games against the Lions in an 11-day span.
