Heat up the blustery winter months with Moonshine's Rock Steady spring fashion show.
If you take a look around the el platform these days, you'd think the latest fashions included: 1) Wrapping every possible body part with woolen garments with the exception of your eyes, 2) Wearing your boyfriend's oversized down parka and scary work boots while toting your pumps in an eco-friendly grocery store reusable bag and 3) Runny noses, bright red cheeks and smudged mascara. Hot!
Remind yourself that there is more to fashion than meets your blizzard-stung eyes at the Rock Steady Fashion show at Wicker Park's Moonshine on Thursday, Feb. 12. Admire spring-friendly designs from Bonnie & Clydes, Una Mae's, Process & Content and Guise Chic. Look for stylish pieces from designers like Project Runway's Jeffrey Sebelia, Christian Siriano, Insight, Penfield, Yigal Azrouel, and Elizabeth & James.
Local musicians, DJs and nightlife personalities will be the models strutting the catwalk, including Jessica Gonyea and Chess Hubbard of Rocktapussy, Drea (he say she say), Dani Deahl (DJ), Jobot, Skyler and Kid Color of Yello Fever, Clayton (everyoneisfamous), Matt ROAN (Crossfader Kings), and Rick Carrico (Rehab). Master of ceremonies will be nightlife extraordinaire POGO. Guest DJs Dragon Wars kick off the party at 9:30pm with a hosted Stoli bar from 9:30pm-10:30pm. Runway starts at 10:30 p.m. There is no cover, and drink specials that night include $3 PBR Drafts, $4 Maker's Mark and Jameson cocktails.
