Glastonbury Mom Intercepts Teenage Son's Salvia Delivery

A 15-year-old from Glastonbury, Conn., is facing charges after police say he ordered Salvia online from using his mother’s credit card.

According to police, the teen purchased this natural herb, similar in composition to marijuana, from an herbal sales company in California and had it delivered to his house. The teen’s mother received the package, sent it back and contacted the company to ask for a refund.

The teen was arrested Tuesday and charged with criminal attempt to possess a hallucinogenic and criminal attempt to possess drug paraphernalia.

He was released into the custody of a parent, according to police.
