One man was killed and another was injured Wednesday evening in a shooting in the south Chicago suburb of Richton Park.
Officers responding to a call of shots fired about 7 p.m. near an Auto Zone at 3650 Sauk Trail said they found an man lying on the sidewalk.
That man, a 32-year old whose name was not publicly released by 6 a.m. Thursday, pronounced dead at the scene, according to a spokesperson with the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Another man with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound was found at a nearby business and taken to the hospital, police said.
The South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force was investigating the shooting.
