Kyle Schwarber generated a slew of headlines (and jokes) after he smashed a windshield with a home run during batting practice, but on Wednesday evening, the Chicago Cubs star made sure the story had a happy ending.

Schwarber’s prodigious blast cleared the right field wall at the Cubs’ Sloan Park training facility, and after clearing a 30-foot high net it landed on a car’s windshield in the parking lot.

Although Schwarber could hardly be blamed for the damage to the car (unless he actually aimed for it, in which case other MLB teams should be really, really scared), he made it a point to help out the car’s owners:

The Cubs seem to have a clubhouse full of good guys, and Schwarber’s efforts to fix the damage in this situation does nothing to dispel that notion.
