New Trier Investigating Teacher Misconduct Allegations

West Rock

 West Rock/R. Jerome Ferraro

New Trier High School is investigating allegations of misconduct by a German teacher, officials said in a letter to parents sent Monday.

The teacher, a full-time faculty member at the school, was removed from her duties pending an investigation, according to the letter.

The allegations were reported last week. No further details are being provided about what kind of misconduct was involved.

"We take this matter very seriously, and we are committed to providing a safe environment for all of our students," school Superintendent Dr. Linda Yonke said in the letter.

School counselors are on hand throughout the week for students who need support.
