Firefighters on Monday afternoon pulled a man in his 20s from the Chicago River in the South Loop.

Emergency crews responded about 5 p.m. to the Chicago River near West Roosevelt Road and South Lumber Street and rescued a man who fell in the water, Fire Media Affairs spokesman Joe Roccasalva said.

Paramedics took him in good condition to Mercy Hospital and Medical Center.
