Facebook Group on Lookout for Murder Suspect

Eric Gilford's car was found in Fargo, N.D.

An "America's Most Wanted"-style Facebook group is asking for help to find a Navy sailor accused of stabbing his wife to death.

31-year-old Eric Gilford, an active duty Navy man, is wanted for questioning in the death of his pregnant wife, Kristine Gilford, whom he married in February this year. Authorities, who discovered his car in Fargo, N.D. say he is the "sole person of interest" in the case.

While cops search, Kristine Gilford's cousin, Frank Snover, and his girlfriend, Laura Murray, created Eric Gilford WANTED, to reach the social networking site's millions of users.

"I thought, why don't we just use the technology today and send out another wanted poster," Snover told the Chicago Tribune.

As of Wednesday morning, more than 1,600 people had joined the group. It updates members on the investigation, lists the contact number for the Villa Park police department and shows pictures of the estranged couple.

Eric Gilford faces first-degree murder and intentional homicide of an unborn child charges. Police issued an arrest warrant for him.

Last week, a neighbor found Kristine Gilford, who was five months pregnant, with multiple stab wounds nearly passed out in her friend's Villa Park apartment.

"The horrific crime happened right in front of her 3 year old daughter," according to the group's page.

Police said the mother moved out of the couple's Downers Grove home in May after three months of marriage.
