Chicago Man Charged in 3 West Side Sexual Assaults

Tyreese T. Richardson was charged with three counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault

Chicago Police credit DNA evidence for helping them track down the man they believe is connected with three sexual assaults on the Near West Side.

Tyreese T. Richardson, 20, of the 3200 block of West Fulton Boulevard was charged with three counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault and two counts of home invasion following three attacks between July 27 and Aug. 5.

Two assaults occurred in the 2700 block of West Jackson Street and another on the 2700 block of West Adams, police said. Richardson is accused of entering the victims' homes with a knife and sexually assaulting them. Police said the attacker fled through a rear window or door.

In one case he took an engagement ring from his victim's finger and left.

Richardson was arrested Monday and positively identified by the victims, police said. He is scheduled to appear in bond court Wednesday.
