Former Chicago Police Cmdr. Jon Burge reports to the same prison this week as one of the nation's most notorious white-collar criminals.
Burge has until Wednesday afternoon to turn himself in to the Butner Federal Correctional Complex in North Carolina, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.
That's where Ponzi schemer Bernie Madoff is serving his 150-year sentence.
Burge was sentenced In January to 4 1/2 years on obstruction of justice and perjury charges for lying about the torture of suspects.
Officials won't say if he will be housed in the low or medium security part of the prison. But he will undergo post-prostate cancer treatment in the facility's medical center in April.
Burge plans to take part in an alcohol treatment program during his prison stint, which usually shaves time off an inmate's sentence.
