Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan filed a lawsuit Monday to stop a former Chicago police official convicted of lying about the torture of suspects from getting his $3,000-a-month pension.
That's where Ponzi schemer Bernie Madoff is serving his 150-year sentence.
Burge was sentenced In January to 4 1/2 years on obstruction of justice and perjury charges for lying about the torture of suspects.
Officials won't say if he will be housed in the low or medium security part of the prison. But he will undergo post-prostate cancer treatment in the facility's medical center in April.
Burge plans to take part in an alcohol treatment program during his prison stint, which usually shaves time off an inmate's sentence.
