Child sex charges against one of the stars  of the TLC reality show "Cake Boss" have been forwarded to a grand jury.

Remigio "Remy" Gonzalez, 32, was arrested Aug. 17 and accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old twice between September 2009 and March 9, 2010.

After hearing arguments from Morris County Deputy District Attorney Meg Rodriguez Tuesday, Judge Philip Maenza decided to grant the prosecution request to forward the case to a grand jury for review.

Gonzalez, the brother-in-law of "Cake Boss" star and Hoboken baker Buddy Valastro, appeared in court handcuffed and said nothing. He remained in jail on $300,000 bond, and faces two counts each of aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child, aggravated criminal sexual contact and criminal sexual contact.

Gonzalez and wife Lisa, the youngest of the Valastro sisters on the show, have a baby daughter Isabella, who has been featured on the series.

“Cake Boss,” is in its third season on TLC. Gonzalez's bio has been scrubbed from the show's website.

“We support Buddy and the Valastro family during this very difficult and challenging time,” TLC said in a statement released Wednesday afternoon. “The network respects the family’s wish for as much privacy as possible, and as this doesn't involve us, we will not be commenting any further.”
