Who needs the lottery when you could win free doughnuts for life?
Chicago favorite Stan's Donuts & Coffee is giving one lucky customer the chance for just that at the opening of their new storefront Saturday.
The shop at 2800 N. Clark St. will open its doors for the first time Oct. 10 at 6:30 a.m., and the first 100 people to show up will receive a prize envelope, one of which will hold a winning ticket that promises free doughnuts for the rest of their days.
As for the other 99 loyal Stan’s fans who are among the 100 to be first in line but don’t snag the grand prize, they won’t be going away empty-handed.
“Other prizes will include Stan's T-Shirts, coupons for free coffee drinks, assorted dozens/half dozens of donuts, Stan's mugs, and one of our infamous "Stan" uniform shirts!” said Stan’s general manager Jon Becker. “So basically a whole lotta swag.”
Stan’s Donuts has two other Chicago area locations, one at 1560 N. Damen Avenue in Wicker Park and a second at 259 E. Erie St. in Streeterville.
Stan’s East Lakeview location has been long-awaited, initially aiming to open in April before being delayed until June and then again until fall due to permitting issues.
