The Competition: Arie Friedman
The Buzz: Morrison serves as West Deerfield Township Supervisor, a position she has held since 1997. She supports investments in alternative energy, more accountability for electric companies and feels township governments should prove they are necessary in order to maintain their existence.
Morrison wants to put into place a ban against fracking in Illinois and wants to implement more investment in green jobs and alternative energy. She also feels that more of ComEd’s profits should go toward upgrading its infrastructure and said she wants a cap on the utility company’s profits.
Morrison believes townships must provide "essential services" or should be absorbed into other parts of municipal government.
