The lottery to enter the 2015 Bank of America Chicago Marathon has officially closed, but aspiring marathoners who failed to enter still have one more opportunity to do so.
Both the lottery and guaranteed entry registration closed at noon Tuesday. Runners who tossed their hats in the ring will find out their status on April 28.
Those who won in the lottery have until May 5 to complete the official registration for the marathon. Those who do not register will lose their spot.
A limited number of entries will become available on May 6 to fill the slots of the lottery winners who did not register. These spots will only be open to those who run with charities or tour groups, however.
The 2015 Bank of America Chicago Marathon takes place Oct. 11.
