Blackhawks Head Coach Joel Quenneville remains hospitalized after suffering bleeding from an ulcer.
Team Phyiscian Dr. Michael Terry released this statement Thursday:
"Joel was originally admitted to the hospital early Wednesday morning due to gastrointestinal bleeding. He has been stabilized and today the cause of the bleeding was determined to be a small ulcer caused by aspirin. He is resting comfortably at the hospital and we anticipate him to make a full recovery and to be released in the next few days."
The Blackhawks say a statement about when Quenneville will be released from the hospital will come in the future.
Without their head coach, assisant Mike Haviland led the Hawks to a 3-1 victory over the Minnesota Wild, Wednesday night.
Their next game is Friday at home against the Columbus Blue Jackets (CSN, 7p.m.)
