The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Illinois is celebrating the life-changing impact of a wish in the Windy City. The theme of this year’s annual ball is “The City of Big Wishes” and highlights the spirit of Chicago, a city where anything is possible.
Six Illinois children will be honored as “Wish Ambassadors” for the evening. The kids, who have all been granted a wish by the Foundation in the past year, will don formal wear and mingle with guests, sharing their incredible stories. The 1,000 guests will also enjoy cocktails, dinner, dancing, a raffle, plus live and silent auctions.
The Wish Ball helps raise money to help make wishes come true for local children with life-threatening medical conditions. Last year, the Wish Ball raised more than $1 million for the Foundation and helped grant 200 wishes to Illinois kids. The event is Saturday May 2, at 6 p.m. in the great Hall in Union Station.
Tickets can be purchased online at www.wishes.org.
