Orton Inactive, Grossman Starts for Bears vs Titans

Grossman to Make His First Start this Season

Rex is indeed the Bears quarterback Sunday, with no chance of Kyle Orton playing.  Orton sprained his ankle last Sunday against Detroit and told reporters earlier this week he wouldn't rule out playing against Tennessee.  But, Sunday's inactive list for the Bears-Titans game at Soldier Field lists Kyle Orton as the number three quarterback with Rex Grossman starting.  According to radio reports Orton did warm up three hours before kickoff at Soldier Field, but will be used only in an emergency, with Caleb Hanie listed as the backup.  Grossman gets his first start since December of '07, the 31st of his career in a Bears uniform.

Also inactive for Chicago:  WR Brandon Lloyd who told reporters, despite two straight weeks of practice, he won't play until he's close to 100 percent.  LB Hunter Hillenmeyer again is inactive, with Nick Roach replacing at the Strong Side.  Tennessee will be without starting Right Defensive End Kyle Vanden Bosch replaced by Dave Ball.
