2021 MLB Odds: Cubs co-favorites to win NL Central originally appeared on NBC Sports Chicago
The book on the 2020 season has closed, and everyone is ready to turn the page to look towards 2021, except the World Series champions Dodgers.
The Cubs comfortably won their division, but were upset in the Wild Card round by the Miami Marlins. As the roster continues to age and financial constraints limit the front office's ability to improve the roster, you'd think the outlook for 2021 is dire.
But not so fast.
Our partners at PointsBet Sportsbook have set the odds for both the Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals at +230 to win the NL Central in 2021. A $10 bet would win $23 on the future bet.
And they don't necessarily view the NL Central as a two horse race, the odds paint it as pretty wide open. The Reds have odds at +275 and the Milwaukee Brewers at +280.
The Pittsburgh Pirates are heavy under dogs at +8000.
