A suburban Chicago woman said she received an angry letter from her neighbors asking her take her Cubs "W" flag off her porch because it makes her community "look bad."
Tinley Park resident Cassie McDonald said she received the anonymous letter, on behalf of multiple residents, asking her to instead hang her flag on a flag pole, "where it should be hung."
"Hanging it off of your front porch is very frat house looking and makes our area look bad -- just like the run down apartments on the North side of the 167th Street just East of Harlem," the letter read. "If you haven't noticed how trashy they look with their flags hanging off their balconies, maybe you will now."
McDonald posted a photo of the letter to an area community watch page on Facebook, where it received plenty of attention.
The caption for the photo simply read, "Is this serious?"
After posting, McDonald received support from fellow Cubs fans, with some even leaving new home decor at her door.
"I would hang more," one user wrote on the post. "Haters! Go Cubs go!"

"I think maybe someone is focusing on the wrong thing," another user wrote. "If you are nice people, and good neighbors, I wouldn't care about your flag. In fact, I'd appreciate that you had some interests and would use it as a conversation starter."
As of now, McDonald said she has no plans to remove the flag.
