David Montgomery due for big fantasy football week originally appeared on NBC Sports Chicago
David Montgomery is teed up for a productive fantasy football week.
Last week, the fourth-year running back posted 122 rushing yards and two catches for 14 yards. In a standard PPR league, that stat line equates to 17 points. He achieved this line against the Packers, who are perceived to have one of the best defensive fronts in the NFL.
In Week 3, the Bears are slated for a home game against the Houston Texans. So far this season, the Texans have been rushed against the third most times in the NFL (69) and have allowed the third-most rushing yards to opposing teams, giving up 326 rushing yards.
The only teams who have given up more rushing yards through two weeks are the Tennessee Titans and, ironically, the Bears.

Montgomery could be considered a low-end RB1 or high-end RB2 heading into Week 3. After a productive Week 2 and lighter Week 3 opponent, he should be poised for a productive fantasy week.
