The Chicago White Sox got some bad news on the injury front Wednesday, as infielder Yoán Moncada will be placed on the 10-day injured list with a Grade 1 hamstring strain.
Moncada, who has 20 home runs and 59 RBIs in 409 plate appearances this season, was removed from Tuesday's game because of tightness in his right hamstring, and Wednesday's MRI revealed the strain, according to the team's social media account.
The White Sox did not announce a corresponding roster move ahead of their game Wednesday night against the New York Mets.
