It is Homecoming weekend for Conant High School in Hoffman Estates, the winners of our Prep Destination of the Week.
Hundreds of students gathered at the school's gymnasium on Friday for an early morning tailgate with NBC 5 News Today.
Tim Cannon, Conant High School's principal, said he expects the same school spirit Friday night at the homecoming game against the Fremd Vikings.
Cannon said he was reluctant to wake up the star football athletes on this crisp September morning, but asked the rest of the student body to celebrate for them.
Homecoming Queen Christina Rosales, sported her royal crown and sash, and took center stage as she danced to “Around The World” while showing off Navy Blue and White pride with hundreds of other Cougars!
