Viggo Mortensen is back on the road, and this time it's looking like a slightly more comfortable version than his last trip.
Mortensen is taking a role in the movie version of Jack Kerouac's Beat Generation novel 'On the Road," according to Deadline.com. Last time we saw him on film for the post-apocalyptic "The Road," he was pushing a shopping cart in the best of times.
Mortensen will play drug-addled Old Bull Lee in the film and will join Amy Adams who will play a junkie/mother-of-two/wife. The movie will be worth it just to watch this storyline alone. Production started Wednesday on the project.
The movie, a work in progress for 30 years for producer Francis Ford Coppola, will also feature Kirsten Dunst, Kristen Stewart and Sam Riley. Brazilian director Walter Salles ("The Motorcycle Diaries") is directing.
