WikiLeaks Suspect to Face Court Martial

The Army private accused of leaking a host of classified information is mentally competent to face court martial, military evaluators have determined. Bradley Manning is being held with medium-security prisoners in Fort Leavenworth, where he was shipped last week. Manning's supporters and human rights advocates had spoken out against his previous detention at a Marine Corps brig in Quantico, Va., where he was held in solitary confinement 23 hours a day and stripped down to a smock at night. Manning’s trial date has not been set. He is charged with aiding the enemy by stealing hundreds of thousands of confidential documents which were then released by WikiLeaks.
