Zach LaVine's Team-Record 13th 3-Pointer Gives The Bulls a Crazy 116-115 Win Over The Hornets

Zach Lavine let loose the winning shot with less than a second remaining against the Hornets Saturday night

Zach LaVine scored a career-high 49 points and made a franchise-record 13 3-pointers Saturday night, the last with eight-tenths of a second remaining to give the Bulls a stunning 116-115 victory against the Hornets at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, N.C.

LaVine shot 17-for-28 overall and 13-for-17 from 3-point range.

The Bulls trailed 110-102 with 45 seconds left. The Hornets made 5 of 6 free throws, but the Bulls pulled within 115-113 after two LaVine 3-pointers, a layup by Coby White and a 3-pointer with 8 seconds left by Tomas Satoransky.

The Bulls pressured the Hornets full-court, and Ryan Arcidiacono poked away the ball from Devonte’ Graham under the basket. LaVine picked up the ball, sprinted behind the 3-point line on the right wing and let loose the winning shot with less than a second remaining.

Rookie Coby White also set a career high with 28 points on 12-for-19 shooting, including 4 of 9 3s. The Bulls (6-11) led by seven at halftime but were outscored 25-13 in the third quarter and trailed the entire fourth until LaVine’s heroics. Terry Rozier’s 28 points and Marvin Williams’ 21 led the Hornets (6-11).
