Team USA Unveils New Olympic Hockey Jerseys

We are 100 days out from the 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea, and we now know what Team USA’s hockey jerseys will look like for the big event.

The U.S. squad, who won a silver medal on the women’s side and finished in fourth place on the men’s side, will be looking to put up a strong showing in these games, which will feature the best teams from around the world.

Here is what the team’s jerseys will look like when they hit the ice:

According to a press release issued by USA Hockey, the jerseys have several noteworthy design features, including a graphic on the sleeves that was inspired by bald eagle feathers and a flicker film base for the team’s crest that will sparkle under the arena lights in PyeongChang.

Chicago will be well-represented with both teams, as men’s head coach Tony Granato and assistant coach Chris Chelios have close ties to the city. Women’s team stars Megan Bozek, who hails from Buffalo Grove, and Kendall Coyne, who is from Palos Heights, also have close connections to the Windy City.

The U.S. women will get their Olympic schedule started on Feb. 11 against Finland, and the U.S. men will get things underway on Feb. 14.
