A taxi cab hit a child in a stroller at the corner of Waveland and Halsted Friday morning.
The child was seriously injured, the Tribune reported.
A witness said the cab hit the stroller, sending it under a parked car. An employee at the nearby Center on Halsted saw what happened and held the child's hand while they waited for paramedics to arrive, the witness said.
The taxi driver stayed at the scene and was interviewed by police.
The child was transported in serious-to-critical condition to Children's Memorial, according to the Trib.
