Suburban Boy Stabbed Brother to Death: Police

Charges were pending against the boy Wednesday morning

A boy stabbed his teenage brother to death Wednesday morning in south suburban South Chicago Heights, police said. 

Officers responded to the domestic violence incident in the 100 block of West 29th Street about 7:15 a.m., South Chicago Heights Police Chief Bill Joyce said.

Larry J. Miles, 16, was pronounced dead at his home at 8:20 a.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

The teen was fatally stabbed by his 14-year-old brother, who is in custody Wednesday afternoon and charges are pending, Joyce said.

Police did not release a motive for the attack.
