Three buildings were damaged when a fire broke out in the 3500 block of West Diversey on Friday afternoon, according to officials.
The blaze, which damaged several homes, was a 2-alarm fire, according to fire officials, and was struck out at approximately 4:30 p.m. Friday afternoon.
One firefighter did suffer a shoulder injury while battling the blaze, but was listed in good condition at an area hospital, according to authorities.
No cause for the fire was immediately announced.
