List of Canceled, Rescheduled Fireworks Displays in the Chicago Area

At least nine suburban communities postponed their Fourth of July fireworks due to severe weather

Severe weather forced several venues across the Chicago area to cancel their Fourth of July fireworks displays on Wednesday.

At least 11 suburban communities postponed the patriotic celebration, with most releasing make-up dates on which they planned to light up the sky.

Those locations, and their rescheduled dates, were as follows:

Naperville Ribfest - Rescheduled for Thursday at 10 p.m.

New Lenox - Rescheduled for Friday night, details to come

Orland Park - Rescheduled for Friday at 9 p.m.

Joliet - Rescheduled for Thursday at 9:15 p.m.

Tinley Park - Rescheduled for Thursday at 9:30 p.m.

Yorkville - Rescheduled for July 14 as part of Yorkville River Fest

Oswego - Rescheduled for Thursday

Batavia - Rescheduled for Thursday at 9 p.m.

Aurora - Canceled

Frankfort - Rescheduled for Thursday at 9 p.m. 

Oak Forest - Rescheduled for Friday at 9:30 p.m. during Oak Fest
