    Broken glass falling from a Chicago high-rise building Wednesday afternoon shut down a nearby downtown street, police said.

    Broken glass falling from a Chicago high-rise building Wednesday afternoon shut down a nearby downtown street, police said. 

    The glass fell from the 14th floor of a building near The Gwen Hotel, on Illinois Street near Rush Street, Chicago police said.

    Illinois Street was closed from State Street to Michigan Avenue.

    It was unclear what caused the glass to break. No injuries were immediately reported.
