Derrick Rose will likely take the court again this week.
The Chicago Bulls' point guard told ESPN's Lisa Salters that he will "probably" return this week after undergoing a successful surgery for a torn meniscus in his right knee in February.
Rose had lately been expressing optimism about his return, but an official date had not been announced. In March, Rose and head coach Tom Thibodeau said they were hopeful he would return before the end of the season, which wraps up April 15.
The meniscus that Rose tore was the same one he injured early on in the 2013-14 season. That injury kept him off the court for the remainder of the season.
