Puerto Rican Parade Merger Sparks Controversy

Single parade to be held in Humboldt Park June 15

Chicago's two Puerto Rican parades will merge into one this summer.

In past years, two separate groups have held parades -- one downtown on Columbus, and the other in Humboldt Park.

Organizers will join forces on June 15 for the combined parade, which will step off at Division and Western and end at Sacramento.

The parade is part of the Puerto Ricon Festival, which runs June 12-16.
