At around 12:25 p.m., officials received a call that a man had been shot at the mall near JcPenney, according to North Riverside Fire Chief John Kiser.
The male victim was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood and said to be in known condition.
Following the incident, surfaced on social media of people running to take shelter at the mall, but no other injuries were reported to police.
