A person with a weapon was reported on the Danforth Campus just after 1:30 p.m., the school said

A person was injured in a shooting at Washington University in St. Louis and students and staff have been ordered to shelter in place.

A person with a weapon was reported on the Danforth Campus just after 1:30 p.m., the school said. Students and staff were told to “shelter in place.”

An alert shortly after 2 p.m. reported a shooting had wounded at least one person on the campus at Forsyth near the Mallinckrodt Center.

By 2:45 p.m. the school said the "the campus was emergency is over" and students could return to "normal activities."

Further details on the shooting weren't immediately known.
