Ohio Family Creates ‘Buzz' With Hilarious Gifts to Son's Teachers

An Ohio family is creating quite a “buzz” after they offered up some bottles of wine as holiday gifts for their child’s school teachers – but the gifts came with an unexpected and hilarious twist.

The surprise came when the parents decided to switch out the labels on the wine bottles and replace them with a photo of their son.

“Our child might be the reason your drink so enjoy this bottle on us,” the label read.

DJ Sommers, the older brother of the child pictured on the wine bottle, posted a photo of the gifts to Twitter, where they quickly garnered more than 39,000 likes and 6,500 retweets.

“My parents always get our elementary school teachers a present around Christmas,” he wrote. “Typically something small like a candle or flower to say thank you. This year they got them bottles of wine & replaced the labels with their own with my brother on them… Happy holidays.”

Sommers told NBC affiliate WDTN that while his parents don’t believe the younger child is a bad kid, they do say he’s “that kid.”

"It does definitely give off the illusion that my brother is a big time troublemaker, and that's not entirely true. He's definitely not the worst student in the entire world, but he's definitely not the best student in the entire world either,” Sommers said. "He's at the same, so the grade school he goes to now is the same one that I went through, my sister went through, and he went through so he'll be done in the spring and it'll be his last year, so it was kind of more of a thanking the teachers for putting up with me and my sister and my brother."

Sommers described his younger brother as the “school clown” and said the gift was “well received.”
