Metra riders were warned of delays expected during the afternoon commute Friday as high winds whipped the Chicago area.
Metra spokesperson Meg Riley said the transit agency was experiencing issues across the region and commuters should expect delays. High winds were causing problems with gate functions and causing debris concerns throughout the area.
Riley urged riders to check Metra's website for details on issues.
