Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann is coming to President Barack Obama's home state.
The congresswoman from Minnesota is scheduled to attend a Tea Party rally at 7 p.m. Monday at DiNolfo's Banquets in southwest suburban Homer Glen.
The rally was organized by the Will County Tea Party Alliance and tickets will cost $20, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.
Tim Kraulidis, president of the alliance, told the newspaper the rally is part of the Tea Party's series of events called "Take Our Country Back 2012."
Bachmann has long been a favorite of Tea Party activists. She started the Tea Party caucus in the House of Representatives and made a name for herself embracing socially conservative issues.
After she jumped into the presidential race in June, she won a straw poll in Iowa. But in recent national polls she has not fared so well.
