Driver Fleeing Traffic Stop Injures Officer, 2 Others on West Side

One person was arrested, police said

Three people, including an officer, were injured by a vehicle fleeing a traffic stop Saturday evening in the West Garfield Park neighborhood.

The driver of the vehicle took off after pulling over for a traffic stop at around 7:30 p.m. in the 4400 block of West Madison Street, Chicago police said.

First they hit a squad car and injured an officer, police said. The car crashed a short distance later and injured two civilians who were treated at Stroger, police said. All of their injuries were minor.

One person was arrested, police said.
