Dogs love to play in parks, but not all parks are friendly to pups. Below, find a list of dog-friendly parks in the Chicago suburbs and beyond.
Many of them require fees or registration, so be sure to check the rules before taking your dog to one of the parks.

Aurora West Park Off-Leash Dog Area: Hanks Road, Aurora
Hours: 8 a.m. to sunset

Paws in the Park: South Harrison Avenue and Lakewood, Aurora

Fees: $15 for residents and $30 for non-residents. Dog owners can register at Prisco Community Center.
Riley’s Run Dog Park: Lambert Lane and Thornbury Road, Bartlett
Hours: Dusk till dawn
Includes agility equipment, drinking fountain, transition areas, playground (for owners) and a small and large dog area.
Membership is required and costs $30 annually for residents and $60 for non-residents.

Hoffman Dog Park: West Main Street, Cary

Fees cost $55 annually for residents and $110 for non-residents. Passes can be purchased at the Cary Community Center, located at 255 Briargate Road.
Champaign Dog Park: Windsor Road near Rising Road, Champaign
Hours: Dawn to dusk
Fees cost $40 annually for residents and $60 for non-residents. Fees are due Jan. 1.
