Officers were responding to call of a robbery in progress, police say.

Two Chicago Police officers were injured early Saturday in a head-on collision with a car in Chicago's south side Roseland neighborhood.

The officers were responding to call of a robbery in progress when they were injured in a head-on collision with a car in the 10800 block of South Perry Avenue at 12:25 a.m., said police spokesman Ronald Gaines.

The two officers were taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn with non-life-threatening injuries.

The car, a 2008 Volvo, was stolen Friday morning, the Chicago Tribune reported, citing police.
