Report: Manny Machado Won't Make Decision on Future Soon

Machado met with three teams, including the White Sox, this week

Chicago White Sox fans who are hoping to get a quick resolution to the Manny Machado saga will reportedly have to wait a bit longer.

According to a report from Fancred’s Jon Heyman, Machado has told the three teams in hottest pursuit of his services that he will wait until after the New Year to make his decision on where to play next season.

This week, Machado held meetings with three teams that are bidding for him, including the White Sox. Machado also met with the Philadelphia Phillies and New York Yankees, but it’s still not clear where he will be playing during the 2019 season.

Machado hit 37 home runs and drove in 107 RBI last season, and is one of the two most highly-sought after free agents on the market, along with Washington Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper.
