An estimated 150 anti-violence demenstrators arrived outside Wrigley Field after all lanes of Lake Shore Drive were shut down during rush hour Thursday.
The protesters marched onto the major roadway in protest of the city’s violence, shutting down traffic ahead of a Cubs game and on the first day of the popular Lollapalooza music festival.

An estimated 150 marchers participated, moving down Belmont and Clark Street before ending the march at the gates of Wrigley Field at Clark and Addison.
Both northbound and southbound Lake Shore Drive were closed for around 35 mintues as protesters gathered on the roadway just after 4 p.m., police said.
Lanes reopened just before 5 p.m. as marchers made their way toward Wrigley Field, prompting rolling street closures as they moved.

No injuries or arrests have been reported thus far.
