Mayor Richard Daley says "they don't fear anyone" when asked about the suspects in the shooting of police officer Michael Bailey.
Daley called Bailey a "wonderful guy" who was on security detail at the mayor's home. "He was very, very kind and wore the uniform with pride, " he added.
The mayor would not go so far as to say more police officers are needed on the streets. He said "education is the answer" and he said the city needs "more people to take responsibility."
Police Supt. Jody Weis is out of town due to the death of his father in law.
