A 47-year-old man was robbed by two women who offered to give him a ride on the city’s Near North Side Sunday morning, police say.
The man was standing on a sidewalk in the 600 block of North Wells when two women pulled up in a dark-colored sedan and offered him a ride, according to police. After the victim got into the vehicle, the women allegedly robbed him and threw him into the street in the 300 block of West Chicago.
According to police, the women stole the man’s cell phone, along with several credit cards before fleeing the scene.
Area Central detectives are investigating, and no suspects are in custody.
