Kris Bryant Hits Home Run in 1st Spring At-Bat

The slugger missed 60 games last season due to a left shoulder injury

Chicago Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant played in his first Cactus League game of the year Saturday, and he wasted no time in showing fans just how healthy his left shoulder is.

Bryant, who missed 60 games last season and was impacted throughout the second half of the year by the injury, stepped up to the plate at Sloan Park Saturday afternoon and clobbered a pitch over the left field wall in his very first at-bat of spring play:

Bryant is hoping for a return to form after 2018's disappointing finish. The slugger joined his Cubs teammates for the team's first spring action against the Milwaukee Brewers at Sloan Park, while Jason Heyward and Javier Baez were also in the lineup.
